ABOUT WHAT WE WROTE PODCAST
Who are we?
Emma and Esme have been a writing duo almost as long as they’ve known each other. Having met in their first year of high school, neither of them precisely remember how they got the idea to write a story together, but write they did. Through their school years, many thousands of hand written pages in dozens of notebooks were filled in between school work and study. Inseparable since the day they met, the pair have refined their writing process over the years. They’ve experimented writing in many genres, writing about whatever they’re reading at the time or just picking one they haven’t tried yet.
The results of these experiments form the basis of this podcast!
About
Emma
Emma is an academic librarian, equestrian, long time writer, reader, and lover of animals. She started writing some time in primary school after having read the Lord of the Rings. Thus began a love of the fantasy genre that spanned many years until her late teens when she discovered other genres could be fun too.
These days, Emma describes her reading tastes as “whatever’s good” and explores widely across many genres, from fantasy, scifi, horror, young adult, romance, and more. She still loves writing and creating when she can around work and her two dogs and two horses. Mostly, she gets her creative fix from playing Dungeons and Dragons with her friends and writing with her bestest for the restest, Esme.

About
Esme
Esme is a veterinary nurse, equestrian, reader, writer, artist and picker-upper of many hobbies. She was always an avid reader and writer since a very young age. She wrote her first ‘series’ of books about her toys during primary school, loosely inspired by Toy Story. Her early reading and writing tastes always centered around animals, specifically horses, and it wasn’t until high school that she realised books that weren’t about animals were cool, too.
Now Esme’s tastes in reading vary as wildly as her attention span, from fantasy, scifi, historical fiction to young adult, murder mysteries and psychology. She also loves getting her story fix from other mediums, such as Dungeons and Dragons and gaming. While reading is sometimes hard to fit in around work, her horse and her dog she always finds time to write with her BFF Emma.
